Artist Statement

I loved my work as a designer. I worked in environmental and sustainable energy businesses my entire career. I try to walk my talk in every thing I do. In my twenties, as a university student, I worked in Alaska for a geological survey company. The wilderness experience changed my life.

Let my work draw you into color space, find objects that evolve to the edge of recognition and fade back into abstraction. Journey with me to the  places I love in the landscapes of Alaska, the Rockies, New Zealand, Asia and South America. My work will energize and calm you while encouraging visual play and down right fun. 

I am a mindful painter. I take the time to create visual worlds that offer an escape from what is and encourages the mind to consider the possibilities surrounding us. 

There are many reasons to keep growing as an artist. It is good for the mind and better for the soul. Staying open minded and willing to listen always improves my work! I love to hear how my paintings affect people. Your thoughts and feelings are one of the reasons I paint. Please contact me.
